ALL CAPS COMICS’ “Cyberfrog: Rekt Planet” Annihilates More Crowdfunding Records

Overnight, the crowdfunding period for ALL CAPS COMICS’ Cyberfrog: Rekt Planet came to a close, raising a total of  $852,817.* Not only is that girthy stack of green, but it’s also a new record for the total amount raised by a single comic book campaign on Indiegogo, surpassing 2019’s Earthworm Jim: Launch the Cow. Can I get a “Whoa, Nelly!?”

At those totals, the Rekt Planet campaign met dozens of stretch goals, including a chromium cover upgrade, wall calendar, keychain, trading cards, PVC figurine, multiple extra books, and a well-deserved $10 thousand bonus for the book’s colorist, Kyle Ritter.

Written and illustrated by Ethan Van Sciver, Cyberfrog: Rekt Planet is a 48-page sequel to the wildly successful Cyberfrog: Bloodhoney. Van Sciver celebrated this milestone with with a live stream on his YouTube channel, Comic Artist Pro Secrets, which you can check out below.

Bummed out that you missed Rekt Planet’s crowdfunding period? You’re in luck, as the Indiegogo campaign page has transitioned to an in-demand store for a limited time, so you can still pitch in to get your Froggie books and swag, all the while pushing the total raised to even greater heights.

The next milestone for Rekt Planet would be to become the most successful comic book crowdfunding campaign not just on Indiegogo, but across all crowdfunding platforms. To do so, it must surpass the total amount raised by The Order of the Stick, a printed version of the satirical web comic which raised $1,254,120 in 2018.

Congratulations to Van Sciver, Ritter, and the rest of the Rekt Planet team. You can visit the Cyberfrog: Rekt Planet Indiegogo in-demand page here.
