80s Arcade Classic “Dark Adventure” Now on PS4, Nintendo Switch

Publisher Hamster has announced that Dark Adventure is now available on Nintendo Switch and PS4 as part of the digital Arcade Archives series.

Originally released in arcades by Konami in 1987, this is the first time that Dark Adventure is commercially available on a home console.

The heroes of Dark Adventure have been transported into a “Devil World” after opening a cursed ancient coffin they discovered. Players must navigate the perils of the Devil World, defeat the demon king (naturally), and find their way back home. It’s like Quantum Leap… in Hell.

Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste. This release also includes three versions of the game: the Japanese version, European version, and the North American version that features 3-player co-op. Keen!… darkly keen…

Arcade Archives Dark Adventure is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
