Matthew Blair’s “Kaijus And Cowboys” Return for Issue 3
“Get along, lil’ kaijus…”
Independent comic book creator Matthew Blair recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Kaijus And Cowboys issue 3, the latest installment in the genre-bending action adventure series.
Written by Blair and featuring illustrations by Frankie B. Washington, Kaijus And Cowboys is an aptly named series featuring giant monsters and heroic gunslingers (giant robot-type laser-slingers) set in a sci-fi version of the Wild West.
Here’s the official pitch taken from the Kaijus And Cowboys Kickstarter campaign page:
There was quite the revelation at the end of issue #2 concerning the Hunter and his robot companions, and while they may be warriors capable of taking on some of the biggest and meanest creatures ever seen, it turns out that this alien planet has a few surprises even the Hunter can’t handle!
Issue #3 is a mad dash for survival as the Hunter rushes to escape the biggest, nastiest, and most dangerous kaiju yet.
This is the most action packed issue we’ve created yet, so don’t miss out!
Backers can get a digital version of Kaijus And Cowboys issue 3 for $5, while physical copies start at $10. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:
- Multiple copies of the book
- A variant cover
- A blank sketch cover edition
- An art print
- Patches
- Stickers
- An 8-inch, unpainted figurine
- Sketch cards
- Original art commissions
- Copies of issues 1&2 (both physical and digital) if you want to catch up
It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $7 for those in the United States.
