The Graphic Goose recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Only Never Part 1, a comic book adaptation of Goostav Lubniki’s 1969 noir film of the same name.

The project is already fully funded, having raised nearly six times its initial funding goal at the time of this writing.

The Only Never Part 1 comic is the product of a partnership between The Graphic Goose and Blackness Comics, and the full story is intended to span multiple issues.

The noir cult hit that introduced the world to the post-war icon portrayed by legendary Polish actor Goostav Lubniki!

Brought to you by the Graphic Goose in association with Blackness Comics – introducing the first in a series of comic book adaptations of the 1969 film “Only Never.”

We are proud to say – this project is officially supported by the Lubniki estate! We would like to extend a huge thank you to Alice Lubniki who has been an invaluable source of information and encouragement throughout the creation of the book.

It means the world to us, and I’m sure the Goostav fans, to know that this project has received the blessing of his family.

Out funding goal is low because the book is 100% complete already, so as soon as the campaign ends, fulfillment will begin as soon as possible, so no hanging around waiting weeks/months for your books to arrive.

Backers can get a digital version of Only Never Part 1 for approximately $8 (converted from British pounds sterling), while physical copies (plus some story Polaroid photos and a digital PDF) start at approximately $14. If you have more money to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:

• Multiple copies of the book
• Variant covers
• Original artwork

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at approximately $4 for those in the United States.
