Veteran comic book creator Irene Strychalski recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Fiendish Chapter 2.5: Survivor, a 25-page fantasy adventure inspired by pagan traditions and culture.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $22 thousand at the time of this writing.

Written by Strychalski and this time featuring illustrations Michael Rushbrook and colors by Jake Harold, Survivor is a standalone side-story in the larger Fiendish world.

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Fiendish 2.5 Fund My Comic campaign page:

Survivor is the first standalone story to the hit fantasy-mystery series, FIENDISH.

After his hometown of Dorvo was destroyed, Kazimir is saved by the reclusive hunter Okhto and taken in as an apprentice. However, being Okhto’s student is no easy task, and Kazimir is additionally tormented by the guilt of surviving the bloodshed that killed his family. Young Kazimir must discover how to overcome his trauma and, hopefully, find purpose in life again.

Survivor will feature 25 story pages, on top of worldbuilding and behind-the-scenes content. It is also already 100% INKED and in the process of being colored at the time of campaign launch.

Backers can get a copy of Fiendish 2.5 for $15. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:
