Last week, Rise Again Comics launched a crowdfunding campaign for Kitaru Witch Hunter, a 58+ page supernatural fantasy book.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $5 thousand at the time of this writing. The artwork is also already 100% finished, so the turnaround time between the campaign and fulfillment should be quicker than many other crowdfunding campaigns.

Written and inked by Von Klaus (Monster M.D., Terror in the Trenches) and featuring pencil art by Felix Novara and colors by Mekenzie Martin, Kitaru Witch Hunter is a stand-alone story described as a “mystical murder mystery.”

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Kitaru Witch Hunter Indiegogo campaign page:

KITARU is a witch hunter, rigorously trained from youth to detect and execute witches for the shoguns of the land. As he investigates a mother’s ritualistic murder the dark forces of a corrupt town enclose around him… marking him next.

Backers can get a digital version of Kitaru Witch Hunter for $15, while physical copies (along with a copy of the digital PDF) start at $20. If you have more cash to spend, you can also get the following tchotchkes and extras:
