Maybe not “kaiju-sized,” but still really big…

Veteran comic book writer Mike Baron recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Florida Man Vs. Hogzilla, a 72-page comedy graphic novel.

The project is already fully funded, having collectively raised more than $15 thousand across three crowdfunding platforms (Fund My Comic, Indiegogo and Kickstarter).

Written by Baron and featuring illustrations by Matthew Weldon, Florida Man Vs. Hogzilla is follows the exploits of the titular “Florida Man” named Gary who regularly finds himself in over his head.

HOGZILLA COMETH…!

Following the loss of his lottery winnings, ‘Florida Man’ Gary is forced to vacate the five-million-dollar mansion he and Krystal bought. When a thousand-pound feral swine begins savaging Kensington Gardens, the neighborhood HOA begs Gary to come back and bag the beast.

First, Gary must contend with airline terrorists, smuggle in a hundred red kneed tarantulas, befriend a talking catfish, and deal with the usual invasive species, including toilet snakes and an 18 foot python.

His new bride Krystal is deep in the swamp training to fight Australian grappler Cassowary, interfering with marital bliss. Join Gary and Krystal on their roller coaster ride from rags to riches to rags to riches to rages to riches.
