It’s still thinking…

Just in time for SEGA Dreamcast’s 25th anniversary (sort of… the campaign will end near the 9/9/99 US release mark), independent artist and comic book creator Brenden Swan launched a crowdfunding campaign for Am I Only Dreaming: Encyclopedia of all NA Dreamcast Games. The project is a unique art book featuring illustrations for each of the 200-ish SEGA Dreamcast games released in North America.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $1,500 at the time of this writing.

While the base artwork is already completed, Swan is also giving all backers the opportunity to select their favorite game to receive an additional piece of artwork. Swan expects to receive a lot of requests for Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, and Jet Grind Radio, but I hope all of my Seaman and Pen Pen TriIcelon fans come in strong.

Whether you back the project or not, all Dreamcast fans can submit their best memories of the console and its games in the project’s comments section. Swan promises to include these memories in the book, making Am I Only Dreaming a truly collaborative project for hardcore Dreamcast fans.
