According to a recent interview with the game’s director Takahisa Taura, the upcoming Nintendo Switch action game Astral Chain will have no post-launch DLC. However, if the game sells well enough, developer Platinum Games intends to turn Astral Chain into a trilogy.

According to Taura:

“There are currently no plans to release extra content for Astral Chain… This is different for the game’s story. We make the game a trilogy and this is the first part of that trilogy. If this game sells well then we may see how the story of the series continues.”

Astral Chain is developed by Platinum Games and is scheduled to release on 30 August for Nintendo Switch.
