“Streets of Rage 4’s” final playable character unveiled; multiplayer details announced
Streets of Rage 4 finally has a full character roster!
Publisher Dotemu has announced that the fifth and final fighter to join the long-awaited brawler is Floyd Iraia, a guy who has more metal arms than he has consonants in his last name. If he reminds you of Jax from Mortal Kombat, you’re not alone (he even yells “Gotcha!” when he grabs you FFS). To be fair, the Streets of Rage series has a history of cybernetically-enhanced heroes, most notably Dr. Zan from Streets of Rage 3. So, if you ever happen to get tired of looking exclusively at Blaze Fielding (doubtful), you can give euphoria a break and play as Floyd.
You can watch Floyd’s reveal trailer below.
In addition to the Floyd character announcement, Dotemu also revealed how SoR4‘s multiplayer will work. In short, online multiplayer will support two players, while local couch co-op will support up to four players (a series first).
Streets of Rage 4 is co-developed by Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games and will be released for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on… $#!+. We still don’t have an exact release date other than “Spring.”
Oh, Blaze Fielding, you’re such a tease!
