New Horror Magazine “Eyrie” Now on Kickstarter (Festival of Dread Special)

Welcome back to the Festival of Dread, The Splintering‘s month-long celebration of all things brutal and bloody.
And what could be more fitting during the Festival of Dread than to shed some light on a horror-themed crowdfunding campaign? That’s why we at the Splintering want to introduce the readers to Eyrie Magazine by Mike Hoffman.

Eyrie is a 48-page graphic horror anthology magazine by comic book creator and crowdfunding veteran Mike Hoffman, and is intended to be the first issue of a new bi-monthly series. It harkens back to the old Warren horror magazines Eerie and Creepy, and even includes two series hosts, The Headsman, and Marie Antoinutts. This first issue includes six short stories, each blending different elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and (naturally) horror, and features work by writer Jason “Bloke” Crawley, artist Rock Baker, and – of course – Mike Hoffman.

With tiers ranging from $4 to $200, there’s something in this campaign for everyone. There are all types of fun options for folks to choose from, including having the magazine upgraded to a sharp looking hardcover, and even remarque drawings from Mr. Hoffman himself.

Eyrie is currently funding on Kickstarter and has already surpassed its funding goal. The campaign ends on October 27, so there is still time to pledge. Whether you’re a fan of horror or just a fan of beautiful artwork, Eyrie may be worth checking out here.
