After a substantial delay, developer HuniePot has announced that their puzzle/dating-sim mashup game HuniePop 2: Double Date is scheduled to release on 8 February for both PC and Mac.

HuniePop 2 will be fully uncensored on platforms such as the Humble Bundle Store and Manga Gamer. However, HuniePot has confirmed that the game will be censored on Steam, not because Steam has insisted, exactly, but because rules and enforcement have been inconsistent on the platform, and HuniePot appears to not want to mess with it. There will almost certainly be a nudity patch available, though.

Enough about the naked ladies, though. How about the game?! Players match colored orbs and go on double-dates to save the world from evil spirits known as Nymphojinn (subtle). Your “dates” gain new abilities along the way, and the sequel also introduces a new “baggage system.”
