The Geeks + Gamers Network Raises Nearly $100k for Anti-Suicide Charity

Over the past couple of weeks, the crew at Geeks + Gamers (pronounced “Geeks and Gamers” for those not in the know) and their network of fans have raised nearly $100 thousand in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
The fundraiser culminated in a livestream hosted on a G+G YouTube channel last night, in which viewers could bid on auction items or donate directly to the charity. The occasion? Celebrating this week’s HBO Max release of the “Snyder Cut” of Justice League. That’s certainly more than we did here at The Splintering to celebrate the Snyder Cut… we’ve just been slinging out knee-slapper goofball stuff like this.
This outpouring of charity comes just weeks after G+G and it’s network of fans raised over $40k for an anti-human trafficking charity, and it’s great to see their efforts are appreciated by good-hearted fans, creators, and celebrities alike.
Despite the fact that G+G may be The Splintering’s “competition”, you have to give kudos where they are due.
Good on you guys. Keep up the great work!
