The Black Orcs Are Coming to Cyanide’s Fantasy Strategy Game “Blood Bowl 3”
Game publisher Nacon and developer Cyanide have released a new trailer for Blood Bowl 3, this time featuring the Black Orcs, one of the new teams coming to the fantasy sports strategy game.
You can check out the official overview of the new team below, followed by the Black Orcs announcement trailer.
Tired of the amateur performance of the other Greenskins, the Black Orcs have decided to create their own teams. Forget about passing, dodging and speed: above all, the Black Orcs are shining examples of how methodically and brutally grind opposing players into the dirt.
Lining up next to a Troll, whose extraordinary wild strength is only equalled by its striking stupidity, and Goblins that carry the ball and flood the pitch, the Orcs’ favorite tactic involves reaching the end zone by viciously crushing any opponents foolish enough to try to bar their way!
As violent as they are powerful, the Black Orcs are a formidable race in Blood Bowl 3. Additional videos will be released soon to highlight more teams, showing their strengths, weaknesses and the strategies they use in the game.
Here’s the full breakdown of Blood Bowl 3 taken from the game’s Steam page:
Strap on your boots, don your helmet, adjust your shoulder guards and chest plate… and slip a sharpened dagger into your belt (it’s the rules).
Blood Bowl 3 is the videogame of fantasy football. A turn-based strategy game inspired by American football in the Warhammer fantasy world where elves, humans, orcs and other creatures fight for the ball with shoulder charges, kicks, punches and weapons of varying degrees of lethality (and legality by the ref).
Your team, your call!
As the coach, you must give instructions to your players: hinder the progress of your opponents by positioning them in your tackle zone, knock down those who get in your way, and break through to your opponents’ end zone to score a touchdown!
All your units can gain experience and receive statistic bonuses or new skills. However, be careful: injuries are common, especially when the referee is a goblin who tends to overlook most forms of violence. Some players may even leave the field limp and lifeless, putting an early and definitive end to their careers.
Gamers who pre-ordered the Blood Bowl: Second Season Edition tabletop game will get an early look at Blood Bowl 3 via a closed beta, which will launch sometime before the game’s full release this summer.
Blood Bowl 3 is scheduled for release sometime in August for Steam PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and both Xbox One and Xbox Series X+S.
