Legendary Comic Book Artist George Pérez Passes Away at 67

On Friday, comic book legend George Pérez passed away following complications from stage 3 pancreatic cancer. He was 67.

Over his career, George Pérez contributed to a number of beloved characters and remarkable storylines, including The Avengers, Wonder Woman, Crisis on Infinite Earths, The New Teen Titans, and Infinity Gauntlet.

Pérez officially retired from comics in 2019 due to health concerns, but had been actively creating until announcing his diagnosis in late 2021. Following the diagnosis, Pérez made it a point to attend public appearances and meet as many fans as his health would allow.
