Nichibutsu’s “Roller Jammer” Now on Nintendo Switch, PS4 Via the Arcade Archives

Publisher Hamster has announced that roller derby game Roller Jammer is now available on Nintendo Switch and PS4 as part of the digital Arcade Archives series.

Originally released in arcades by Nichibutsu in 1984, Roller Jammer puts players in the shoes- erm, skates- of an aspiring roller skater hoping to become the ultimate roller skating champion. However, speed and tight cornering aren’t all you need to claim victory – you’ll also have to knock your opponents off the track before they do the same to you. It’s kind of like Skitchin’ on the SEGA Genesis, but with a less annoying itle. In any case, keep your momentum up, your center of gravity down, and shoulder check their bitch asses to the moon!

Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.

Arcade Archives Roller Jammer is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
