Fruity Adventure “Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories” Coming Soon to PC, Consoles

Behold, the power of mElOnS!

Publisher XSEED Games recently released more details for its upcoming multiplatform title, Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories.

Developed by independent studio Froach Club, Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories is a retro-inspired adventure featuring a visual aesthetic similar to a 1980s monochrome computer screen or a Nintendo Game Boy. The world of Melon Journey is populated by fruity duo of Honeydew and Cantaloupe, as well as a bushel of other bizarre characters.

Here’s a brief breakdown of Melon Journey from XSeed, followed by the latest trailer:

What power a single melon holds! Crime and corruption abound in Hog Town where Honeydew’s friend, Cantaloupe, has gone missing from Eglantine Industries, the melon factory they both work at. As her search begins, an array of intertwining mysteries begin to unfold in this brand-new story-exploration game. Is the Cavity Crew a true threat? Is Kitten King the cause for all this? Cantaloupe will need to comb every inch of the green-tinted, pixelated world accompanied by the beats of the jazzy lo-fi soundtrack, to save the day in this monochromatic mystery set for a 2022 launch on all platforms.

Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories is planned for a release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbone and SeXbox.

XSeed also points out that the game hasn’t been rated by the ESRB, but c’mon…
