Vicious Ink Comics’ Fantasy Adventure “Beowar” Now on Indiegogo

Because “Beobattle” didn’t have the same ring to it.

Independent comic book creator Vic King recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Beowar, a 60-page, magazine-sized comic book.

Written and illustrated by King (ASYL), Beowar is a fantasy adventure story featuring black and white artwork and a protagonist described as “purveyor of ale and tail.”

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Beowar Indiegogo campaign page:

Hey! Im Vic King from Vicious Ink Comics; And I want to welcome all of you to the Sojourn of Beowar, To fulfill an ominous self prophecy Beowar sets himself against the darkest evils and most savage perils his world holds.

Living Prophecy, Barbarian, Sailor, Mercenary, Pit fighter, Purveyor of Ale and Tail ; Beowar is an adventure that will appeal to anyone. Especially the Metal!!

You will also be introduced to the Vicious Horror that is Alizon in her debut 5 page back story.

With this 60 page B&W Magazine size epic I intend to bring back the joy of similar books like Savage Sword and Vampirella.

When I say EPIC JOURNEY, I mean it. Its one we can all take together as I draw and ink the Savagery that is Beowar and Alizons back up story live for you on my youtube channel every day.

Backers can get a copy of Beowar for $25. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Original sketches
  • Original artwork from the book

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
