Independent comic book creator and Rampart Press founder Justin Murphy recently announced that his fantasy adventure adventure series War Party will be coming to comic shops under the Rampart Press label. Issue One of War Party is scheduled to ship in December, with pre-orders opening in October via Diamond Comic Distributors’ Previews catalogue.

Written and illustrated by Justin Murphy (Cleburne) and featuring colors by J. Brown (G.I. Joe, Avengers), War Party is a six-issue series that was successfully crowdfunded via Indiegogo in late 2020.

The comic shop editions are priced at $3.99 each, and will feature an exclusive wraparound cover and additional content from the War Party Handbook.

Here’s the official plot synopsis of War Party from Rampart Press:

After their families are killed during the French & Indian War, and the surviving child is captured, a group of frontier fighters organize a rescue when they receive shape-shifting powers from an ancient shaman. Wolf, bear, eagle, jaguar & gator all team up in an unlikely alliance against the French, British and their native allies.
