Earlier this week, Allegiance Arts Entertainment launched a crowdfunding campaign for Bass Reeves: West of Hell, a 136-page graphic novel that collects all six issues of the Bass Reeves saga.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $7 thousand at the time of this writing.

Written by Kevin Grevioux (Underworld) and featuring illustrations by David Williams (Batman) colors by Gabe Eltaeb (Truth Justice American Way) and lettering by the prolific Eric Weathers (Battle Brick Road), Bass Reeves: West of Hell is described as the “sweeping tale of one of America’s most legendary lawmen.”

Reeves escaped slavery, became a feared tracker and bounty man, then accepted a commission as the first black man west of the Mississippi to wear the silver star of the US Marshals service. Bass always got his man, arresting over 3,000 outlaws – a record that stands to this day.

Bass Reeves: West of Hell binds all six episodes of the Bass Reeves series into one magnificent volume.
