Publisher Starbreeze has announced that the Lovecraftian tribe-building strategy game The Tribe Must Survive will launch in 2023 via Steam Early Access.

Developed by Walking Tree Games, The Tribe Must Survive is described as a “tribe-builder with a generous splash of survival and rogue-like.”

Here’s the official breakdown of The Tribe Must Survive from the game’s Steam page:

Set in a gloomy Lovecraftian stone age The Tribe Must Survive is about finding ways to grow and to protect your tribe from what lurks in the shadows around it.
All your tribe members have their own personality and AI-will and generally only do what they want. Fortunately you can manipulate them with rituals, buildings, upgrades and other difficult decisions to get things done.

Whatever it takes… The Tribe Must Survive!

A brief demo for The Tribe Must Survive was released back in February. The game is scheduled for its Early Access launch in 2023 and a full release sometime in 2024.
