Coffin Comics’ “Hellwitch: Forbidden” Casts a Spell Over Your Wallet

On Wednesday, Coffin Comics launched a crowdfunding campaign for Hellwitch: Forbidden, a 48-page, bloody, risqué comic book intended exclusively for a mature audience.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $200 thousand at the time of this writing.

Writte by Brian Pulido and Mike MacLean and featuring illustrations by Diego Bernard and colors by Cici De La Cruz, Hellwitch: Forbidden is part of Coffin Comics’ larger Lady Death universe and the fifth story featuring Hellwitch as its main protagonist.

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Hellwitch: Forbidden Kickstarter campaign page:

Backers can get a digital version of Hellwitch: Forbidden for $6, while physical copies (along with a digital version) start at $28.

As is typical of Coffin Comics’ crowdfunding campaigns, there is a buxom set of bonuses available as both add-on purchases and stretch goals (many already unlocked) for those who purchase physical copies. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive several additional tchotchkes and extras, including the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Variant covers including cosplay editions, “jeweled” editions, and mature-themed risqué editions
  • A hardback version
  • T-Shirt
  • Previous Coffin Comics books
  • Art prints
  • Posters
  • A “metallicard” set
  • and more…

It is also worth noting that there is no additional shipping charge for those in the United States.
