“Castillo: The Nine Circles” Steam Page Now Live

Independent developer Jackson “TheSmashers” Clayton has announced that the Steam store page for the retro-inspired CASTILLO: The Nine Circles is now live, while the full release date has yet to be announced.*

Featuring a throwback pixel art aesthetic and gameplay reminiscent of classic FPS titles of the early 90s, The Nine Circles is the follow-up to CASTILLO: Shattered Mirrors, which was released in March 2022.

Here’s the official breakdown of CASTILLO: The Nine Circles from Clayton, followed by a recent trailer:

Players will take on the role of a young Dracula on a journey through the nine circles of Hell, using unique abilities and weapons to defeat enemies and solve puzzles. The game combines elements of classic shooters like Doom and collect-a-thons like Banjo Kazooie, as players explore treacherous landscapes representing different sins and battle armies of beasts.

With a hauntingly beautiful pixel art style and stylistic soundtrack, players will be fully immersed in the thrilling story and gameplay as they unravel the mysteries of the nine circles and stop a corrupted detective from destroying the multiverse. Don’t miss out on this epic adventure and join the young Dracula on his quest to save the multiverse in Castillo: The Nine Circles.

The Steam store page for CASTILLO: The Nine Circles is currently live. The final release date of the game has not yet been confirmed (but it’s expected to be in Q1 2023).
