Ali Lauerdale’s “EGGBEATER” Is Coming to Crush Your Eggs
An all-new Easter classic in the making?
Independent author and aspiring comic book creator Ali Lauderdale recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for EGGBEATER, a 24-page, black and white horror book modeled after classic slasher stories.
The project is well on its way to being fully funded, having raised 66 percent of its funding goal at the time of this writing.
Here’s the official pitch taken from the EGGBEATER Indiegogo campaign page:
EGGBEATER is a black & white, 24-page, traditionally drawn graphic novel. Every backer receives an 8×10 full-color print by Dean James (The Embrace) EGGBEATER & an 8×10 full-color print of the original drawn by the inside artist, Vinny Scatena, along with the book itself.
The artist is Vinny Scatena. He’s a first-timer with a unique style, love of comics & art, & full dedication.
I’m Ali & I’m the writer. I have one independently published novella, Wild Man. I marketed, sold, & fulfilled over 200 physical copies successfully- without a campaign.
Thugs have butchered Eric’s sickly wife & two children. They’ve burned down his bakery & left him physically disfigured- and insane. He’s cooked up some custom-made weapons, a black belt in martial tarts, and is on the hunt for sweet revenge.
EGGBEATER is working his way up to the top tier of the local gang responsible for ruining his life- one brutal murder and pun at a time!
