Allumer’s “Magical Speed” Now on PS4, Nintendo Switch via the Arcade Archives

A virtual version of 52-Card Pickup it is not
Publisher Hamster has announced that Magical Speed is now available on Nintendo Switch and PS4 as part of the digital Arcade Archives series. This is the first time that Magical Speed has been available outside of Japan.
Originally released in arcades by Allumer in 1994, Magical Speed is a competitive card game where the player rushes to play of the cards in his or her hand first. There’s also a story of sorts, as the two main characters Nicole and Claire are searching for a magical card that can grant wishes. Playing multiple cards in a row can also summon demons to interfere with your opponents. And you thought this was just a milquetoast, wholesome card game…
Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.
Arcade Archives Magical Speed is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
