Sierra Whiskey’s “No Cover” Based on a True Story; Fully Funded on Day One

No, it’s not about a strip club. At least I don’t think it is…
On Monday, Sierra Whiskey launched a crowdfunding campaign for No Cover, a 60-page (58 pages of story) action comedy book.
The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $8 thousand at the time of this writing.
Written by Sierra Whiskey and featuring illustrations by Donal DeLay (Cash Grab) and lettering by the prolific Eric Weathers (Battle Brick Road), No Cover is the harrowing true-ish story of a disgruntled comic book artist in search of his lost cover art. Names have been totally changed to make it 100% impossible to discern the identities of those involved.
Here’s the brief pitch taken from the No Cover Indiegogo campaign page:
Join us as we follow our determined hero Jawn Mai-Lin as he rampages through the post apocalyptic landscapes of Michigan looking for his lost in the mail Dale Keown comic book cover!
Backers can get a copy of No Cover for $25. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:
- Multiple copies of the book
- Variant covers
- Original artwork
It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $8 for those in the United States.
