Rob Hunter’s “Deth Raider” Now Raiding Wallets on Indiegogo

I raided Death and all I got was this skull bangle bracelet.
On Wednesday, veteran comic book artist Rob Hunter launched a crowdfunding campaign for Deth Raider, a 64+ page sci-fi superhero book.
The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $3 thousand at the time of this writing.
Written by and illustrated by Hunter (Gambit, Justice League, Iron Man) and featuring colors by Pixel Tool, Deth Raider is intended as the origin story of what is currently being dubbed the “Dethverse.” Eh, it doesn’t roll off the tongue too well, but you get the idea.
Here’s the official pitch taken from the Deth Raider Indiegogo campaign page:
This MONSTROUS 64 page SCI-FI adventure featuring MARSOC Marine Raider Cody Moore, assigned to a BLACK OPS unit designated, KORE. On mission, Cody’s unit is killed and he suffers critical injuries. Inoperable shrapnel gives Cody abilities that make him a target from EVERYONE!
Cody’s cohort in this adventure is Dr. Anna Toussant, KORE UNIT medical specialist. Cody must adapt to his new handicap and impossible odds he and Anna face. Cody does this by building the DETH RAIDER armor to combat the DARK FORCES nipping at their heels! Cody and Anna find themselves racing to stay two steps ahead of their pursuers as they try to uncover who ambushed the KORE UNIT and why! Every mystery that is answered leads to another, and another…..
This is THE LAUNCH of DETH RAIDER and maybe more importantly the introduction of THE DETHVERSE! A collection of HIGH OCTANE, TESTOSTERONE FUELED CHARACTERS in fast paced DYNAMIC ADVENTURES!
Backers can get a digital version of Deth Raider for $7, while physical copies start at $25. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:
- Multiple copies of the book
- Variant covers
- “Stripped” digital versions with no color, and one with no lettering
- A lot of skull-themed jewelry (rings, watches, bangle bracelets, no joke)
It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $8 for those in the United States.
