Graham Nolan’s Horror Comic “Joe Frankenstein” Fully Funded on Day One

On Wednesday, Compass Comics launched a crowdfunding campaign for Joe Frankenstein: Part 1, a 64+ page action horror book.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $20 thousand at the time of this writing.

Written by the renowned creative duo of Graham Nolan and Chuck Dixon and featuring illustrations by Nolan, Joe Frankenstein is a part of the growing “NolanVerse”, which includes The Chenoo, Alien Alamo, and The Ghosts of Matecumbe Key.

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Joe Frankenstein Indiegogo campaign page:

2023 is going to be an amazing year as this classic monster/adventure comic, created by Graham Nolan and Chuck Dixon comes to Compass Comics and becomes part of the NOLANVERSE!

Originally published in 2015 by IDW as 4 issues, this version is bigger and better. Part 1 collects the first 2 issues as well as the 10 page prologue that was only available in the now out-of-print hardcover! Throw in behind the scenes sketches and layouts and you have a 72 page perfect bound book of monsters and high adventure you won’t be able to put down!

You are going to want to read this before THE GHOSTS OF MATECUMBE KEY comes out in August! Just sayin’!

Backers can get a copy of Joe Frankenstein: Part 1, a bookmark and a vinyl sticker for $25. If you scare up more green (kill me), you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Variant covers
  • A signed and graded edition

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
