Atari has announced that the microgame collection Atari Mania is set to release for PS4 and PS5 on 4 April. The game is already available on Nintendo Switch and Steam PC.

Developed by Illogika, Atari Mania features over 150 challenges inspired by the levels, characters, and challenges of the titles in Atari’s library.

Several updates have been made since the game’s initial release on PC and Switch, including control improvements and other performance tweaks. These improvements will be coming to the Nintendo Switch version as a patch.

Protecting the Atari Vault just became your new career. Your first on-the-job training? Defeating an onslaught of evil dead pixels who have corrupted your favorite Atari characters and games!

A wild journey through video game history, Atari Mania is wrapped in a hilarious retro-driven narrative of exploration and surprise. And in proper Atari fashion, features dozens of easter eggs, and packs a punch with fiendishly challenging puzzles and scenarios that will make you think twice about the Atari games you once knew!

In the game, you take on the role of the Atari Vault caretaker, responsible for protecting the retro gaming classics of yesteryear. One night, the vault is infiltrated by evil dead pixels who wish to see the end of retro gaming as we know it. It’s up to you to battle it out with the evil which has infected the familiar faces and games of the golden age of video games!
