Mens Sana Interactive has announced that their upcoming puzzler The Answer is 42 will be released on 6 April for Nintendo Switch in Europe, Australia and the Americas. It is already available on Steam PC.

The Answer Is 42 combines mathematics and logic skills with a minimalist design for an experience where players scour the cosmos for “the simple answer to life, the universe, and everything.” This new version features tweaked controls that take advantage of the Nintendo Switch controllers and touchscreen.

In The Answer Is 42, the player has a board with numbered pieces, must connect the numbers and fill the board with one or more combinations that sum up 42 each.

The game title is a reference to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, created by Douglas Adams. There, a computer is created to answer the ultimate question to life, the Universe and everything. After millions of years calculating, it provides “42” as the answer!

The game visuals and original soundtrack provide a relaxing outer space mood for the player to use his/her logic and math skills with no rush. No reason for panic! There are 100 levels of progressing complexity, and some of them reveal special pictures in the solution.

The Answer is 42 is scheduled to be released on 6 April for Nintendo Switch via the eShop.
