Publisher ESDigital recently announced that the genre-blending Demon Skin is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbone, SeXbox and Nintendo Switch on 5 May. The game is already available on Steam PC.

Developed by Ludus Future, Demon Skin combines elements of hack’n’slash, platforming, fighting and RPG mechanics for a combat experience set in a dark fantasy world.

The console release of Demon Skin will also include the “Crossroad of the World” DLC, which is a prequel chapter that “explores the the main character’s past, before turning into a monster-smashing demon.” There will also be additional tweaks such as controller focused controls and bug fixes.

The darkness has got into the far-off corners of the universe and now threatens the entire world. Only the mighty Order of Wanderers whose members possess superhuman divine powers can resist that threat. One of the Wanderers witnesses a sinister ritual of restoring a powerful ancient artifact. In an attempt to break off the ceremony, he gets into a flow of energy released by the artifact — and instantly turns into a demon! To regain its former appearance, the Wanderer will need the artifact which was stolen after the ritual, sending him on a quest to find it, fighting the hordes of demons along the way.

Demon Skin is a brutal hack’n’slash set in a rough dark fantasy world, which combines unique combat mechanics, RPG and fighting game elements, and even some platformer features. Thanks to its flexible combat system, each player can come up with their own unique tactic by skillfully combining stances with various types of weapons to achieve the ultimate efficiency in battle.

• Improve your skills, master various stances for lightning-fast parrying and inflict maximum damage with spectacular finishing moves in a sophisticated combat system!
• Collect shards of crystal to improve your armor and become an even more powerful demon
• Choose from more than 30 types of edged and blunt weapons that only effective against a certain type of enemies. You can even destroy enemies with your own hands (not as efficient but fun as hell!)
• Improve your character by unlocking new perks in its skill tree and find rare and ancient artifacts that will let you unlock impressive super skills after reaching a certain level

Demon Skin is currently scheduled to release on 5 May for PS4, PS5, Xbone, SeXbox and Nintendo Switch. If you jump in early, each console version will have a special launch discount of 20% for the first week (PS4 & PS5 discount will be limited to PlayStation Plus members… because Sony sucks, I guess).
