“Tecmo Knight” Now Available on PS4, Nintendo Switch via the Arcade Archives
Publisher Hamster has announced that Tecmo Knight is now available on Nintendo Switch and PS4 as part of the digital Arcade Archives series.
Originally released by Tecmo in 1989 for arcades, Tecmo Knight (aka Wild Fang in some territories) is a side-scrolling beat ‘em (akin to Golden Axe) set in a supernatural fantasy world.
Players take control of a creature-summoning hero assisted by a massive tiger, a “smoke man” and a fire-breathing dragon as he quests to overcome a demon-infested world.
Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.
This is also the first time that Tecmo Knight has been commercially available on a home pc/console.
Arcade Archives Tecmo Knight is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
