Earlier this week, the independent comic book creator known as Nerd Wonder launched a crowdfunding campaign for Behemoth: War Makes Monsters issue 1, a 50-page graphic novel.

Written and illustrated by Nerd Wonder (Graveyard Shift: Bite Sized Heroes), Behemoth: War Makes Monsters is her first solo project (with reasonable exceptions for lettering and editing).

Welcome to the 3rd world country once known as Edentia, now known as Titrov after the grueling end to the latest war. A cold and unkind life awaits all who live here.

If nature doesn’t kill you, the dictatorship will.

Mike Ilavern is no stranger to this kind of life. A first world war reporter, he makes a living out of covering war torn countries like this. But after all his ventures, Taja is definitely a first.

Taja Litburg, an ex guerilla fighter now wandering nudist, holds bizarre secrets this country has tucked away. Apparently, Vahalon, the other now dead dictatorship of the country, did biological experiments on their prisoners, attempting to create bio weapons. And according to Taja, they did make one. One of biblical proportions.

This is the first adventure out of many for our two protagonists. They will face up against soldiers, mercenaries, bandits, and the monsters that lurk in the night all in an attempt to uncover the secrets of Behemoth.
