Brian Butvidas recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for A Güey Zine, a 50+ page comic anthology.

Featuring the work of several independent comic book writers and artists, the stories in A Güey Zine include comedy, action, sci-fi, all with an unabashed Latino flare. All of the work for A Güey Zine is already fully completed, even the printing, so all that remains for backers is to wait for the campaign to end and for the books to ship. Noice.

Yo, check it out! Do you love comics? If not, have you at least HEARD of comics? Then we have something special for you: Güey Zine! This dope 50-page collab is brought to you by eight badass Latinos (and our token gringo) each bringing their own unique style and flavor to the mix.

Each of these artists reps their unique Latino community hard, using comics to tell stories inspired by their culture and experiences. There’s something for everyone in here: crusty, gut-busting humor to thrilling suspense tales. Heartfelt slice-of-life stories to epic action adventures. This zine has more incredible artwork and stories than the Vatican secret archive.

When you buy a Güey Zine you’re not JUST buying a comic. You’re putting a down payment on an experience. Our goal is to show you and everyone else the creative power of the Latino community and inspire others to share their own stories.
