“HOW TO DIE” Issue 2 Now on Kickstarter (Crowdfunding Spotlight)

Eudaimonia Comics recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for HOW TO DIE issue 2, the 32-page continuation of the fantasy horror series.

According to the project page, work on HOW TO DIE issue 2 is close to being complete, and the book should be ready to ship soon after the campaign ends.

Written by Joshua “JP” Plack and presumably featuring illustrations by Bogdan Ristea (the campaign page doesn’t actually say), HOW TO DIE is described as a “grotesque and yet hauntingly beautiful twist on superpowered storytelling.”

Here’s the official pitch taken from the HOW TO DIE Kickstarter campaign page:

HOW TO DIE is an ongoing horror series set at the dawn of humanity’s next stage in development. This world stands on the precipice as monsters are made of men and women, but rather than being reserved for the “best” and “fittest,” unimaginable power finds its way to only our very “worst.”

In issue two, we meet MADAME GREY, a young homeless woman with schizophrenia, for which day-to-day life is a struggle just to interpret the world around her. These struggles, however, put her on the radar of the BLACK ICE, a murderous, shape-shifting monster with designs of unlocking the superpowers of others, as was once done to him (Issue #1).

Backers can get a digital version of HOW TO DIE issue 2 for $8, while physical copies start at $15. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Variant covers
  • A Maxx homage art print
  • Character sketches
  • Original artwork
  • Copies of the HOW TO DIE issue 1 (physical and digital) if you want to catch up
  • Other previous Eudaimonia Comics releases

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $15 for those in the United States.
