On Wednesday, renowned comic creator and Compass Comics founder Graham Nolan launched a crowdfunding campaign for Return to Monster Island, a 64-page action/horror book.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $50 thousand at the time of this writing.

Written and illustrated by Nolan, Return to Monster Island is the sequel to the 1998 original Monster Island. Despite the title and its inspiration from classic “creature feature” horror films, the Monster Island series is intended for readers of all ages. This is actually the second crowdfunding campaign for Return to Monster Island, as an oversized hardcover edition was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter in 2019.

When the intergalactic repository known as MONSTER ISLAND re- appears over the Bering Sea, our heroes, Mac and Duke are called back in action!

Why have the Gooch returned? And why is the containment field down, allowing giant monsters to escape? Mac and Duke have to find answers to these questions and find them fast, because the Russians are there as well and there’s nothing they would like more than to get their commie hands on some alien technology and change the balance of power!

High-adventure, action, and romance await you when you RETURN TO MONSTER ISLAND!
