SEGA to remaster Yakuza 3, 4 & 5 for PS4

According to the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation, SEGA will release remastered versions of Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 for PlayStation 4.

The remasterd releases will have improved resolution and frame rates similar to the previous series remasters, Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2.

Here are the Japanese release details so far:

• Yakuza 3 – August 9 for 3,990 yen (includes soundtrack download code)

• Yakuza 4 – Fall 2018

• Yakuza 5 – Spring 2019

Goro Majima approves.

This reveal comes soon after the Yakuza series producer noted last month that SEGA was considering remastering these games if fan demand was high enough. Such a tease….

There are no details for a Western release yet, but thanks to Sony’s region-free policy, PlayStation gamers will at least have options for playing the entire main line Yakuza series in all its HD glory on a single console.

Sorry, Dead Souls fans.
