DC Comics’ relaunch of “Hawkman” is a hit with readers

DC Comics is giving Hawkman another shot at a solo series, and the reaction to the first issue has been very positive.

Described as a DC Comics version of Indiana Jones, Hawkman is an action/adventure featuring the creative team of Robert Venditti, Bryan Hitch and Alex Sinclair. This new Hawkman series follows directly from the story of Dark Nights: Metal, but if you’re unfamiliar with Hawkman as a character or his role in the Metal miniseries, don’t be put off. The creative team addresses several loose ends while dangling enough interesting threads to deftly bring in new readers while keeping long-time Hawkman fans intrigued.

Below are just a few examples of reader reactions to the first issue.
