Crowdfunding campaign for “The Berserkonaut” ends successfully

Over the weekend, the crowdfunding campaign for the first issue of The Berserkonaut ended successfully, raising 144% of its original goal for a total of over $5 thousand.

The Berserkonaut is a 24-page comic by industry veteran Jeff Lafferty (Doom 2099), who serves as both writer and illustrator for the book. The Berserkonaut is a passion project for Lafferty, as it represents his first comic book he considers to be 100% his own vision.

Here’s a summary of The Berserkonaut‘s plot taken from the project’s Indiegogo page:

A mysterious monster hunter known as the Berserkonaut, investigates a late night break-in at the Megatroit Museum of Natural History. There he encounters his villainous match, a grotesque fiend called The Frankenborg! Their titanic twelve page battle is just the start of an epic adventure, where the Berserkonaut will be pushed to his very limits. Come along as he fights to save the woman he loves, the city of Megatroit and the entire planet from a forthcoming zombie apocalypse!

If you’re sorry you missed out on the crowdfunding campaign, you’re not completely out of luck. The Indiegogo campaign has transitioned to an on-demand store, so you can still get in on the campaign perks for the time being.

Backing tiers start as low as $4, which gets you a physical copy of the The Berserkonaut issue 1. Those who spend a bit cash more can get more in perks, including signed copies of the book and original artwork.
