Erfolg! The Indiegogo campaign for “Black Forest” ends successfully

Over the weekend, the crowdfunding campaign for Black Forest ended successfully, raising 120% of its original goal for a total of over $6 thousand. Written by Mike Angerhauser (great name, right?) and featuring artwork by Bettie Brighteyes, Black Forest is a new 46-page fantasy horror comic heavily inspired by German folktales. Below is a short plot summary taken from the Black Forest Indiegogo page.
“A forgotten soldier; battle-hardened from a life of war and bloodshed is banished to the mythical Black Forest. There he will battle the creatures of Germanic Folklore but, also, his own inner demons. In a world of nightmares, a hero can awaken.”
If you’re bummed about missing out on the crowdfunding period, don’t fret, fräulein. You can still buy into the Black Forest book as the project’s Indiegogo page has transitioned to an in-demand store. Backers can get a digital version of Black Forest for $7, while physical versions (all signed) start at $20. For those willing to drop some more cash, there are also tiers which include trading cards, bookmark, extra copies of Black Forest, and your name printed on a “thank you” page in the final book.
