“Sovereign” smashes Indiegogo funding goal; transitions to in-demand store for limited time

On New Year’s Day, the crowdfunding campaign for new the anime-inspired graphic novel Sovereign came to a close, raising nearly 180% of its original goal for a total over $21 thousand. Sovereign is a 48-page science-fiction tale by Andrew Huerta heavily inspired by the anime art of Masami Ōbari and Akira “Akiman” Yasuda.

Did you get wasted on New Year’s Eve and miss the end of the crowdfunding period? Well, happy New Year to you, because the Indiegogo page has transitioned to an in-demand store, so you can still pre-order your copy of Sovereign for a limited time.

Backers can get a digital version of Sovereign for $6, while physical copies (all signed by Huerta) start at $25. Those who spend more can get exclusive prints, extra copies of the book, original concept art, and the original page artwork from the Sovereign book.

Congratulations to Andrew Huerta and the rest of the Sovereign team. You can check out the full Sovereign Indiegogo page here.
