Maritime horror graphic novel “Longharbor” is live on Indiegogo
Over the weekend, a crowdfunding campaign for Longharbor, a 70+ page “Lovecraftian” graphic novel written and illustrated by Alejandro Mirabal launched on Indiegogo. Formerly an archeological diver, Mirabal is also an experienced concept artist having worked on CD Projekt’s GWENT card and several Hollywood films.
What’s the book about? Here is a plot summary taken from the Longharbor Indiegogo page:
“Years after surviving the mysterious tragedy that led to the death of his crew, Gary recounts the events to a journalist, as the ship takes them back to the infamous shores of Longharbor , where it all happened. A journey between reality up above and the nightmares below the waves, in which men are just as cruel as the monsters they’ll encounter.”
Backers can get a physical copy of Longharbor for $25, while art aficionados can also get an Indiegogo-exclusive print for $50, and a completely original piece of artwork for $500. While Mirabal has hinted at stretch goals for the Longharbor crowdfunding campaign, none have been announced at the time of this writing.
Longharbor has already raised over a third of its $15k goal in a just a few days, so this bleak tale looks to have a bright future. You can check out some sample artwork below or visit the full Longharbor Indiegogo page here.
