Indiegogo campaign for “Icarus and the Sun” raises nearly $600 thousand

The crowdfunding campaign for Gabriel Picolo’s Icarus and the Sun has come to an end and it finished quite strong, raising 2,982% of its original goal for a total of nearly $600 thousand. That’s the most money ever raised by a comic book in a single campaign. (Cyberfrog: Blood Honey has raised roughly $800k across three separate campaigns)
Icarus and the Sun is a 60-page fantasy graphic novel inspired by Greek mythology. If you’re upset that you missed out on the crowdfunding campaign, you’re out of luck at the moment as the Indiegogo page did not transition to an in-demand store. With a backing total this large, however, it’s quite possible that a publisher has already taken notice and could still bring Icarus and the Sun to retail.
Congratulations to Picolo and everyone involved in the Icarus and the Sun project!
