Saddle up with “The Ballad of Dusty Tortillas”, a new western comic series now on Indiegogo

Yee-haw! Howdy, bitches!

That’s it. I’m not going to run with bad cowboy-speak for the entire article. I really just wanted to write “Howdy, bitches.”

Earlier this week, Brendan Kamp launched a crowdfunding campaign for The Ballad of Dusty Tortillas, the first issue of an ongoing comic book series described as a lighthearted western.

Cowritten by Brendan Kemp’s brother, Stephen Kemp, The Ballad of Dusty Tortillas also features interior art by Nick Garber and colors by DC Alonso (Rumble Kings, Cleave).

The plot synopsis for The Ballad of Dusty Tortillas is brief.

“After thwarting an assassination, a young gunsmith’s apprentice must make a life-changing decision.”

Backers can get issue 1 of The Ballad of Dusty Tortillas in digital form for $5, while physical copies start at $7. Want more bang for your buck? There are also tiers for signed copies of the book, original artwork, multiple copies of the book, the chance to have your likeness drawn into the final product, and a sexy pinup of TBODT femme fatale, Ms. Lynx.
