“Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night” releasing in June, new trailer released

According to ArtPlay and 505 Games, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will release on 18 June for PS4, Xbox One and PC, while the Nintendo Switch version will arrive on 25 June.

Bloodstained‘s release marks the end of a storied development. Spearheaded by Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi, the game set new records on Kickstarter in 2015, becoming the short-lived most successful crowdfunded game of all time (to be supplanted by Shenmue III later that summer). Featuring a huge castle to traverse and a musical score by Symphony of the Night‘s Michiru Yamane and Resident Evil‘s Ippo Yamada, Castlevania fans should feel right at home as they take on Gemel and his demonic hordes. (Heh-heh… sounds like Castlevania, heh… never mind)

In addition to the launch dates, the Bloodstained team also unveiled a new trailer highlighting changes made to the game over its development cycle. The artwork is certainly more vibrant, don’t you think?

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is scheduled to release 18 June for PS4, Xbox One and PC (Steam & GOG) and 25 June for Nintendo Switch.
