Crowdfunding campaign for “Tokyo Rose” graphic novel ends successfully

Overnight, the crowdfunding campaign for historical graphic novel Tokyo Rose: Zero Hour ended successfully, raising more than $8 thousand.

Tokyo Rose: Zero Hour is a one-shot graphic novel written by Andre Frattino and featuring illustrations by Kate Kasenow which retells the story of Iva Toguri, a Japanese American who was torn between two hemispheres and loyalties during World War II. We got a chance to interview Frattino about the Tokyo Rose campaign which you can read here.

If you missed out on the crowdfunding campaign, you may be out of luck for the time being. Unlike Indiegogo, Kickstarter does not have an option for an in-demand store, so your ability to get a copy of Tokyo Rose will depend on the creators’ next moves.

Congratulations to Frattino, Kasenow and everyone else on the Tokyo Rose team.
