“Blacksad: Under the Skin” delayed; developer diary video released
Originally scheduled for a September release, Microids has announced that Blacksad: Under the Skin is now scheduled to launch on 5 November.
To sweeten that slightly biter pill, Microids also released the first in a developer diary video series titled “From Comic to Video Game”. The first episode focuses on how the development team is recreating the noir tones of the Blacksad comic series into a fully-realized 3D game world. You can watch the video for yourself below.
The Blacksad graphic novel series is written by Juan Díaz Canales illustrated by Juanjo Guarnido. The books were first published for European readers until it was published in the U.S. by Dark Horse in 2010. The series famously tells gritty noire tales using anthropomorphic characters, with the main character – John Blacksad – being a feline private investigator.
Blacksad: Under the Skin is scheduled to launch 5 November for PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
