The “Jawbreakers: GØD-K1NG” graphic novel races past $200K, still available in-demand

Overnight, the crowdfunding campaign for Richard Meyer’s Jawbreakers: GØD-K1NG rallied in its closing hours, raising just shy of $200 thousand with over 5 thousand total backers.
Ya. Boi.*
This marks the latest success for Richard Meyer and his independent comic book company, Splatto Comics. The previous Jawbreakers graphic novel, Lost Souls, set new crowdfunding records last year (though short-lived), and Splatto’s Iron Sights also raised well over $100 thousand.
Meyer marked the close of the GØD-K1NG campaign on a livestream with Cyberfrog creator and Jawbreakers cover artist Ethan Van Sciver, which you can watch below.
The Jawbreakers series is described by Meyer as a cross between The Expendables and Guardians of the Galaxy, in which a small group of semi-retired superheroes has banded together as mercenaries to take on challenges against impossible odds.
Sad that you missed out on the crowdfunding campaign? The Jawbreakers: GØD-K1NG Indiegogo page has now transitioned to an in-demand store for a limited time, so you still have a chance to buy into the GØD-K1NG book. As a matter of fact, at the time of this writing, Jawbreakers: GØD-K1NG has crossed the $200 thousand threshold. So if $100 thousand is “six figures, bitch,” then what’s $200 thousand? Maybe “six figures, bitches?”
Congratulations to Richard Meyer, Splatto Comics, and everyone else on the Jawbreakers team. You can check the Jawbreakers: GØD-K1NG Indiegogo page here.
