Epic fantasy comic “Wisdom Comes” features a new take on man versus dragons
Late last week, independent comic book creator Cody Martinez launched a crowdfunding campaign for Wisdom Comes: Chapter 1, a 64-page fantasy book written and illustrated by Martinez himself.
Here’s a summary of the project taken from the Wisdom Comes Indiegogo campaign page:
Witness the rise of Hera’s greatest hero, and learn what set him upon his monumental quest to eradicate the dragons that threaten his people with extinction!
Wisdom Comes is the life-story of Daerokos Galvan, a troubled realist fueled by his unbreakable ambition and a desire to see the end of his peoples’ suffering.
In this first chapter, you’ll learn of the bloody history of Hera’s children, and what set Daerokos on his path to becoming a living legend!
You’ll also be introduced to Black Maw, the Alpha-Dragon of Hera! Kronokosto, as the locals call him, is the biggest and baddest dragon around, and commands all lesser species to slaughter innocent Herans in droves.
Backers can get a digital version of Wisdom Comes for $10, while physical copies (all signed) start at $25. If you have a bit more cash to spend, you can pick up more bonuses including extra copies of the book, a sticker, t-shirt, original sketches, and opportunities to have your likeness drawn into the final book.
