Jon Malin’s “Graveyard Shift: Vol. II” rakes in monstrous moolah

Over the weekend, the crowdfunding campaign for Jon Malin’s horror-themed superhero book Graveyard Shift: Volume II ended successfully, raising 17448% of its original goal for a total of nearly $175 thousand.
Illustrated by Malin (Jawbreakers: Lost Souls) and written by Mark Poulton (The Savage Hawkman), Graveyard Shift is a superhero tale combining horror and science fiction elements which asks “What if the Universal monsters were the X-Men?”
Since the campaign passed its $170 thousand stretch goal, those who backed Graveyard Shift: Volume II will also be receiving a second 80-page book titled USAssassin written by Poulton and illustrated by Mike McMahon. That’s a damn fine bonus.
If you slept on this one, you’re out of luck for the moment. Unlike many other comic book campaigns on Indiegogo, the Graveyard Shift crowdfunding page did not transition to an in-demand store. However, there will almost certainly be a chance to pick up a second printing edition when Graveyard Shift: Volume III launches on Indiegogo (presumably in 2020).
Congratulations to Malin, Poulton and the rest of the Graveyard Shift team.
